Another serving of Sundaes for Breakfast coming your way!

In less than two weeks you’ll be able to set sail with Mandy. 🙂 I don’t know about you, but where I live we’ve had a relatively warm winter until last week. Now, I’m ready for a tropical vacation! As mentioned in Mr. Write and Camera Wars, Mandy does a lot of traveling for her job as a companion to older women who want to see the world.

Derek Thompson doesn’t make the best first impression, but in his mind he has a reason to distrust Mandy. But watch out, he is full of surprises. He can be charming when he wants to be—and he dances.

The Companion came to life a couple of years ago when I planned out my Sundaes for Breakfast stories and my husband and I went on a cruise with friends. The idea of setting a story on the cruise ship lodged itself in my brain. I knew I could see Mandy on a cruise ship.

This past year we took our family on a cruise through the Panama Canal. We’d planned this trip for so long that I was hopeful I’d be able to glean some details for my story. I wasn’t disappointed. Going through the Panama Canal was amazing. We stopped in several ports and it was difficult narrowing down which details to use.

Next week I will share with you one of my favorite places we visited that I couldn’t leave out!

The Companion is available for preorder and will be in KU when it launches.
